We started 2010 strong !

It seems yesterday when I mentioned that we were about to reach 5,000 users ... and now we are almost at 6,000 with more than 32,000 virtual dives performed!

We have been extremely busy this month; we are putting the final touches on r9 and we are working on 4 specialty classes for dive computers - in parallel... I spend my days reading Users Manuals, pressing buttons and creating scripts .... but once in a while I manage to slip in a virtual dive trying to catch a virtual lobsters. Of one thing I am sure: I will never win the prize for the biggest lobster.

I know ... I have been teasing you with this "Lobster Hunting Game" for quite some time ... be patient. It is coming.

Product of the Month
Access Codes for online Specialty Classes
I plan to use this section to highlight a product.
In our virtual world "product" could mean a lot of things ... it could be a piece of real gear we have just added to the simulator (like a new dive computer for example) or it could be a new feature we are working on, or it could be something that you have suggested - and I liked a lot!dct

This month "Product of the Month" are our new ACCESS CODES for Specialty Classes.

Soon, when you buy a dive computer, the dive retailer will be able to offer you the specialty class for it.

r9 Simulator
Coming in February
Last month I told you that we are planning to release r9 by the end of January....... we are almost ready ... but we decided to wait one extra week so we can add the TECHNICAL DIVER configuration and for some regression testing.
The LOBSTER HUNTING is completed ... and it is very cool; those animated lobsters seem smarter than the real ones.
By the way, to have your lobster counted for the lobster contest, you will need to have a lobster gauge (to measure them), a game bag (unless you want to come to the surface with only one lobster in your hand), and .... last but not least, if you do not want to have your lobsters confiscated by the game warden, you will need a California fishing license!
We are also working on a free "Lobster Hunting Specialty Class" that will be required before you can dive any site that has the lobster game.
